How to Create a Torrent File

Learn to create .torrent files with our private tracker for faster P2P sharing

6 steps
1

Download a Torrent Client

Install qBittorrent (recommended) or any client that supports creating torrents. It is free and open-source.

qBittorrent is the best choice — it is ad-free and open source.
2

Prepare Your Files

Gather all files you want to share into a single folder. For software: include the installer, crack files, and a readme. For media: include the video/audio file(s).

Do not include unnecessary system files or junk. Clean up your folder before creating the torrent.
3

Add Our Private Tracker URL

When creating the torrent, add KhTracker's private tracker URL in the "Tracker URLs" field. This ensures peers connect through our network for better speed.

You can also add public trackers as backup, but our tracker should be listed first.
4

Create the Torrent in qBittorrent

Open qBittorrent → Tools → Torrent Creator. Select your folder, paste the tracker URL above, set piece size to "Auto", then click "Create Torrent".

Enable "Private torrent" checkbox to prevent automatic tracker scraping from public indexes.
5

Upload the .torrent File to KhTracker

In the Add Post editor, click "Add Link", select "Torrent" as the type, then drag-and-drop your .torrent file. KhTracker will auto-parse the file name and size.

Our system automatically injects the tracker URL into the torrent on download, so users always get the updated tracker.
6

Seed Your Torrent

After creating the torrent, add it to your torrent client and start seeding. The more you seed, the faster other users can download. Try to seed at a 1:1 ratio minimum.

If you stop seeding immediately after posting, peers will be unable to download. Please keep seeding for at least a few days.
